Non-Slip Mono Loop
A fixed loop tied directly to a fly or lure so the eye can move within the loop. Also known as Lefty Kreh’s Loop Knot.
How to tie the Non-Slip Mono Loop
- Make a loose overhand, thread the lure eye, and return through the overhand.
- Wrap the tag around the standing line using the source’s line-size guidance.
- Return through the overhand, moisten, and seat while preserving the loop.

Which knot should you choose?
Compare with the Rapala Knot for a similar loop with an additional finishing tuck, or a Clinch when a snug attachment is wanted.

Turn count depends on line size. Keep the intended loop open while seating and test with the line you will fish.
