Orvis Knot
A compact knot for fastening fishing line to a hook or fly. Its small series of loop passes offers an alternative to a wrapped Clinch.
How to tie the Orvis Knot
- Pass through the eye and route the tag around the standing line and through the first loop.
- Pass the tag through the second loop twice.
- Moisten and draw the knot down carefully; check and pull-test before trimming.
