Trilene Knot
A monofilament-to-hook connection with two passes through the eye. It also attaches line to a swivel or lure.
How to tie the Trilene Knot
- Pass the tag through the eye twice, leaving the paired loops open.
- Wrap five or six times around the standing line, then pass the tag through both eye loops.
- Moisten, seat carefully, and leave a short visible tag.

Compare with the Improved Clinch when eye space is tight, or the Palomar when a doubled-line method suits the tackle.

The eye must accommodate two passes. Keep both eye loops together and leave a visible tag after seating.
