Crown Knot
A three-strand rope-end knot that turns the loose strands back toward the standing rope. It starts a back splice and appears in decorative ropework.
How to tie the Crown Knot
- Open the rope end into three strands.
- Lay each strand across its neighbor, following the rope’s lay.
- Tuck the last strand through the first loop and ease all three down evenly.
